February/March Newsletter 2010
Over the course of three Monday nights in March, a total of 13 parents participated in internet safety workshops entitled "Our Children Online". The workshops, a parent-teacher collaboration, were organised and presented by Catherine Cronin, Aisling Murray and Shirley Connolly.
The workshops covered a wide range of internet safety information and guidelines, and included practical sessions on safe searching, parental controls and privacy controls. There was great interest in the social networking practical sessions, which covered ClubPenguin, YouTube and Facebook. The information presented during the sessions, as well as a list of internet safety web sites, is now available on the school web site to access here and also through our links page.
